SIL has had an agreement with Africa International University (formerly NEGST) for many years. As AIU has grown and been chartered by the Kenyan government, the MA for Translation has continued and changed over the years.
For details of what is required in this MA programme, go here.
The structure of the course is that the student travels to Kenya 2-3 times per year for intensive courses. Then they return home to continue their studies and assignments. The programme takes two years to complete. A thesis is part of the requirement.
The fee structure for the MA in Bible Translation is shown here. The fees are given in Kenya Shillings. Check the current exchange rate.
Application should be made directly to AIU, but please inform the Anglophone Registrar that you are initiating this process.
