GTA 2019 has ended

Students and staff had a blessed closing ceremony on Friday, November 29, 2019. Liz Thomson, Director of Language Programmes for the Anglo-Lusophone area gave a closing challenge. We look forward to these students returning and being joined by others in June 2020 for Academic Course 1 .

Spreading capacity

A tree at the Lweza Conference Centre

This tree and its MANY roots suggest an analogy for what we are trying to do on iDELTA. We are building capacity in people who will return to their work across Africa to provide language development and translation of Scripture to their language communities and beyond.

A new graduate from AIU

Bakhita Otto has graduated from Africa International University with a BA in Development Studies with a concentration on Language Development. Congratulations to Bakhita and her family. In the photo, Bakhita is with her mom. Bakhita was in our 2nd Cohort of iDELTA.

Applicants to SATS

From the SATS Administration: In an attempt to streamline our online application service, we need to standardise our enrolment fee for all programmes, including our postgraduate programmes. In future, all applicants are automatically invoiced for an application fee, regardless of the programme applied for.

iDELTA is moving to Uganda!

The library and all things iDELTA are moving to Entebbe, Uganda for the 3rd Cohort.

Martin Schroeder has handed over responsibility for the iDELTA course direction to Richard Nzogi. Richard is working toward his PhD in linguistics in the Netherlands. We are delighted at the welcome we have received from the SIL-Uganda administration.
